Как читать сообщения системного журнала oom-killer?

У меня есть сервер Ubuntu 12.04, который иногда умирает полностью - нет SSH, нет пинга, ничего, пока он не будет физически перезагружен.

После перезагрузки я вижу в системном журнале, что убийца бомб убил, ну почти все.

В них много подробной информации об использовании памяти. Как мне прочитать эти журналы, чтобы увидеть, что вызвало проблему с OOM? Сервер имеет гораздо больше памяти, чем ему нужно, поэтому он не должен исчерпывать память.

Убийца OOM предполагает, что на самом деле вам не хватает памяти.

Если вы говорите, что у него больше памяти, чем нужно, то, возможно, какое-то системное событие создает утечку памяти где-то, но убийца OOM не скажет, почему произошла утечка памяти, а только из-за того, что ему не хватает памяти, и теперь пытается убить минимум важные вещи (на основе oom_score ).

И если дело в том, что произошла утечка памяти, то, возможно, oom-killer будет убивать только проки, чтобы каждый мог выделить больше памяти.

Так что я бы сделал, если

  1. Настройте kdump , который создаст аварийный дамп vmcore после паники ядра. (это описано здесь )
  2. Установка vm.panic_on_oom=1параметров ядра. Это вызовет панику ядра, если у машины не хватит памяти.
  3. В следующий раз, когда вы получите панику, вы можете открыть файл vmcore, созданный kdump, и посмотреть на таблицу процессов, и она покажет виновника.
