MySQL - это не мое, но мне нужно настроить один из наших серверов.
Вот требования / спецификации:
- Сервер MySQL имеет только одну значимую базу данных
- У нас есть только один «тип» приложения, подключенного к нему, и к нему одновременно подключено не так много экземпляров: максимум 15. (эти приложения являются ботами XMPP).
- Эти приложения имеют неблокирующий ввод-вывод, что означает, что они никогда не «ждут» на сервере БД и продолжают обрабатывать входящие запросы во время обработки запросов БД. Это означает, что иногда один экземпляр этого приложения может иметь несколько (много!) Подключений к серверу базы данных (особенно если некоторые запросы выполняются медленно).
- Все запросы используют индексы
- Наш хост-компьютер работает только на MySQL. Это экземпляр Xen (@slicehost) с 2 ГБ оперативной памяти.
- Мы используем таблицу InnoDB, потому что нам нужны некоторые базовые транзакции, но мы могли бы, вероятно, переключиться на MyISAM, если это реально повлияет на производительность.
Поскольку он настроен прямо сейчас, наш сервер MySQL медленно начинает поглощать всю доступную память (мы используем collectd, вот график). В какой-то момент (через несколько дней / недель) он перестает выполнять запросы (он остановился этой ночью на 2 часа, и мне пришлось перезапустить сервер MySQL: см. 2-е изображение):
